Pleiades with Google Fusion Tables
I’ve been exploring Google Fusion Tables to see how they can be of use to students and scholars. It is quite powerful: Using data from the online Pleiades Gazetteer, I was able to create this searchable map in no time:
You can see a larger version of this map with this link. In case you are wondering, there are 34,444 locations here, if the table isn’t lying. I am going to be using this page to play around a bit with data, so it may change as I fool around with it behind the scenes.
